Bhai Gurdas General Nursing School was established with the sole aim of fulfilling potential demand of the medical profession in the region.

Dated , Chandigarh. the 20-12-2001. and new NOC was also given by Punjab Govt. for 60 Seats instead of 50 Seats under the letter No : 3/20/99 - 4/HB III /7006 /7011 dated 15-10-2007.

Approved by INC in Sept 2003 for 50 Seats

INC approved the GNM course and suitability Certificate was given by INC

( Indian Nursing Council , New Delhi.)

By its Letter No - 18-150/2001 /-INC Dated 30 Sept 2003

and by their letter No : 89 / 02 / Sept 2003 dated 30 Sept. 2003 and suitability certificate was also given by INC under letter No : 18-150 / 2001 dated 30 Sept 2003.

Total number of seats were further increased from 50 to 60 seats by P.N.R.C. vide letter no : PNRC/2007-7972 dated 31-10-2007. Increase of these 60 seats has also been granted by Indian Nursing Council (I.N.C.), New Delhi vide their letter No.18-150/2/2001/INC dated 30.5.2009.
