Asian Zone, the flagship channels of Asian Zone Television Inc. was launched in December 1990, as Golden Tunes Productions Inc. With a reach of audience in Canada, U.S.A. Britain and parts of India , Golden Tunes Productions Inc. created 48 track state of the art recording facility in Mississauga ON: under the name of Summit Recordings Ltd. With quality recordings in various languages and A/V editing of Rod Steward’s video, Summit Recordings was graced with a Platinum Disk award to its recording Engineer Jagdev Singh Nijjar.and turned out to be the pride of South Asians in Canada.

As the prestigious media franchise serving the South Asian Diaspora, Golden Tunes was awarded three National Television licenses in Canada under the new and innovative corporation “ASIAN ZONE TELEVISION INC”, understanding the Indian culture and beliefs which are going to be depicted in its programming, realizing its strength in programming and the need for Indian entertainment in the Canadian market, the company is launching all the three channels “DESI POP” (A south Asian Music Video Channel) “THE SIKH” (A channel to cater the needs of the Sikhs born abroad to understand the Sikhism better) “PAKISTANI PUNJABI” (*A channel to cater the sweet dialects of Pakistani Punjab)
